What SPMC means, and why it is hard to get.
SBACC, the Singapore Business Advisors and Consultants Council, is the national certification body for practising management consultants, accredited to ISO/IEC 17024. Its ladder runs APMC, then PMC, then SPMC. I hold the top rung: Senior Practising Management Consultant, registration SPMC-10960.

Hours and references accumulate with time. Project value does not. SPMC asks for at least one engagement worth S$1 million or more, on top of two or more worth S$500,000 each, and that single line is where most applications stop.
SBACC does not take any of it on trust. The portfolio is submitted, checked, and put through interview and assessment before a senior certification is issued. Mine was assessed on those terms.
Verify it yourself
Certification runs for 3 years and has to be re-earned, not renewed on paper. None of this rests on my say-so: search SBACC's public register for my full legal name, Tung Kai Sheng, and the listing is there. It shows PMC-10960, the code I held before my upgrade, and the register does not display tiers for anyone, so what it confirms is the person and the certification rather than the grade. My current grade is Senior PMC, registration SPMC-10960.
